Founded in 1894, Xianheng hotel is the most famous one hundred year old hotel in Shaoxing. Lu Xun's novel Kong Yiji makes Xianheng Hotel famous at home and abroad. The word "Xianheng" comes from the sentence "tasting things Xianheng" in the Kun hexagram of the book of changes. "Xianheng" means "everything can be beautiful". Xianheng's "Xian" is both a capital and a solution. "Heng" means to be accessible and smooth. The meaning of "Xianheng" refers to prosperous business, prosperity and financial resources. Xianheng hotel is a hotel in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, China. It is famous for its mention in many Lu Xun's works, such as Kong Yiji, and has become a local tourist hot spot. Xianheng hotel was founded by Lu Xun's cousin Zhou Zhongxiang in 1884, but it was completed a few years later. "Warm a bowl of mellow yellow rice wine and a dish of delicious fennel beans", the Xianheng Hotel written by Lu Xun is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, and the statue of "Kong Yiji" in front of the hotel has also become a "Star" for tourists to take group photos. Xianheng hotel staff told reporters that with its unique Lu Xun culture and special geographical location, Xianheng Hotel, together with Lu Xun's former residence, BaiCaoYuan, Sanwei bookstore and other cultural relics, constitute the key to the interpretation of Lu Xun's original classics. Xianheng hotel was founded by Mr. Lu Xun's cousin Zhou Zhongxiang in the 20th year of Guangxu reign of Qing Dynasty. After struggling for several years, the hotel closed down. In 1981, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Lu Xun's birth, the dusty Xianheng Hotel reopened. In November 2007, the authorities announced that the hotel would be transformed into a five-star Lu Xun culture theme hotel.
