Wei Village drum car running is a folk activity which is held in memory of Yuchi Gong, a famous general of Tang Dynasty. It combines blessing and fitness. Originated from Wei village, Fencheng Town, Shanxi Province, it is widely popular in the west of Xiangfen County, Shanxi Province.

"Drum car running" activities mainly include three parts: drum sacrifice, drum stepping and drum racing.

Drum sacrifice: the 13th day of the first month and the 13th day of the third month of the lunar calendar are the days of drum sacrifice. In the past, the drum worship was held in front of yuchigong temple. Now, because the temple has been destroyed, it is held in the village temple. Presided over by the old man, praying for good weather and peace for the people.

Step on the Yuan: after the drum cart sacrifice, more than 20 villagers take a stroll in the street, and the high-ranking people wear ribbons and step on the cart, which is a kind of supreme honor.

Drum racing: the village is divided into six courtyard according to the living location: Northwest courtyard, West courtyard, east courtyard, Miaoxiang courtyard, South courtyard and backyard. Each courtyard has its own drum cart. Two drum cars can be invited to compete. It is an important activity for villagers to build up their health and enhance their friendship. Those who come from other villages to pull drum carts should also choose drum carts according to their living location, not at will.

There is a special "drum car field" in the village. Each drum car has 3-4 mu. Whoever cultivates it will pay for the next year's drum car. Since ancient times, the "drum Car Association" has been responsible for relevant matters.

The members of the team who took part in the competition struggled to pull the car, and their relatives and friends cheered. The women's fried oil cake and hot soup were sent to the stadium, and the atmosphere was very warm. In recent years, women have also joined the ranks of "drum racing". Women's wonderful performance on the field is even more refreshing.

During the competition, accompanied by the galloping drum car, two musicians stand on the car to beat drums and gongs. The drum music composed of drums and gongs is exciting and crisp. It is a living fossil of ancient drum music.
