Introduction to Yazhou folk songs:
Applicant: Sanya City, Hainan Province
Yazhou folk song is one of the ancient folk songs in Hainan. According to the archaeological results of luobidong ancient human site in Sanya City, "Sanya people" lived here 10000 years ago. In 972, Taizu of Song Dynasty set up Yazhou, which is located in Yacheng town of Sanya City, leading Ningyuan and Jiyang counties (Sanya and Huangliu). The folk songs produced and spread in this area are collectively referred to as Yazhou folk songs.
Yazhou folk songs are obviously influenced by Buddhist "zhaige" and Tang poetry. When Buddhism was introduced to Hainan in the Tang Dynasty, Dayun temple was first built in Yacheng town (ancient Yazhou) of Sanya City. The chanting tune of Yazhou folk songs came from "zhaige", which should have something to do with chanting in temples.
Yazhou folk songs have a wide range of subjects and rich contents. The lyrics are mostly seven words, which are involved in all fields, from human history, scenery to production, labor and social life. No less than 100 long narrative poems have been found, which are treasures of Yazhou folk songs. Yazhou folk songs have beautiful tunes, such as Haozi, Jiaomai, LADA, tenderness, sigh and hum. The common repertoire are "ten send love Lang", "Liang Shengge", "Zhang Shengge", "Meng Lijun", "zhuchunyuan" and so on.
Yazhou folk songs are loved by the masses, and they are important spiritual food for the masses. For a long time, they have been passed on by oral and psychological teaching. Under the impact of the modernization trend, this kind of folk music is difficult to compete with the surging pop music. If it is not rescued and protected in time, it will disappear with the departure of the successors.
