Introduction to Hui heavy sword martial arts:
Applicant: Tianjin
Heavy sword is the original name of broadsword. It is a traditional weapon in Beijing and Tianjin. It has a history of thousands of years in China. Tianjin Hui Dao became famous in the early years of Ming Dynasty. It is said that a Jinling Hui General of Zhu Di, the king of Yan, used to fight with a 60 Jin Dao. He followed Zhu Di's northern expedition to pacify Tianjin, and then his family moved to Tianjin. As a result, there was a Cao's Dao in Jinmen, which has been handed down from generation to generation. In modern times, the sword of Imam Cao Jinzao, the descendant of Imam Cao Jinzao, has increased to 160 Jin, becoming a kind of fitness equipment. Cao Jinzao also integrated Changquan, zhuanggong, Sanshou, Western boxing, mizongyi and ancestral shishouquan of "northern Shaolin" and created "seventy-two style serial boxing", which integrates Nanquan, beitui, wrestling and catching. The three most distinctive moves are "qingniu sweeps the tail", "Qianlong leaves the abyss" and "Gui Tuzhuan". Cao Jinzao is outstanding in martial arts and chivalry. Together with Huo Yuanjia, Cao Jinzao is known as "double chivalry of Hui and Han Dynasties". Cao Keming, the son of Cao Jinzao, inherited his father's career and created his own "Cao men Dao style" on the basis of his own Kung Fu, such as Dao, dun, Baoshi and quanshovel. With the purpose of "promoting martial arts, strengthening body and patriotism", he established the first Hui martial Arts School in Tianjin, "Hui Dagao pattern weightlifting team". Now it has been passed down to Cao Shiwei and Cao Shijie brothers, and the mode of inheritance has changed from "family hereditary" to open teaching.
Since the Tang Dynasty, a heavy sword of 160 Jin has been the main instrument for the examination of top martial arts talents. Cao men's sword style has absorbed the skills of bow, sword, stone, horse and arrow from the previous martial arts examinations, and combined the Kungfu moves of Dunzi, shisuo and Baoshi into the big sword moves. Cao men's heavy swords mainly include inserting, back, twisting, cloud throwing, water grinding, waist string, lion in red, oolong tail swinging, snowflake top covering, lotus leaf swinging, flower in the palm, overlap and so on. They are characterized by the combination of hardness and softness, the combination of movement and stillness, and the combination of strength and skill. The big sword dances as fast as wind, as quiet as pine. It's heavy to lift the sword, light to dance, with flying steel rings and silent to fall. It's not only breathtaking and vigorous, but also light and flexible. It gives people great aesthetic enjoyment.
Cao men Dao style is widely praised by people from all walks of life at home and abroad for its purpose of carrying forward the spirit of national martial arts, strengthening national unity and practicing martial arts. At present, in the development of this important martial art, there are some problems, such as lack of funds, lack of venues and so on, which need to be solved urgently.
