Introduction to muyuge:
Applicant: Dongguan City, Guangdong Province
Muyu song is also called "Fishing Song" or "bathing song". It is a popular form of Quyi storytelling in Lingnan Guangfu area, especially in Dongguan non Hakka area. In the old days, it was mostly performed by blind people, so it was also known as "blind man song".
The specific formation age of muyuge is unknown. The earliest known literature is recorded in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty, more than 350 years ago.
The performance of muyuge adopts Cantonese vernacular, with rap and singing as its main form. Usually, a person plays a three string accompaniment by himself and performs in a sitting position. Performance is divided into "elegant singing" and "popular singing" (also known as "reading songs") according to the way of singing. Among them, "elegant singing" has a long and euphemistic melody, and "popular singing" is close to rhyme recitation. The form of libretto is seven character up and down sentence style, and the down sentence rhymes, usually four sentences in one paragraph. The words at the end of the singular sentence use the tone, and the words at the end of the even sentence use the flat tone, which is easy to understand and full of local flavor. The tunes of singing are in the form of banqiang, with cadence, simplicity and fluency. They are not only suitable for narration, but also good at lyricism. Most accompaniment instruments use Sanxian, and Qin Qin Qin is also used. The accompaniment mode is intermittent.
Muyuge is not only an important representative variety of Tanci music with a long history, but also a rich variety of traditional programs. The programs are long, medium and short, with various themes, such as journey to the West and Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai, which show myths and legends, Three Kingdoms, Yue Fei and Yang Jiajiang, which show historical stories and heroic legends, wanhualou, Zhong Wuyan and Rengui Zhengdong, which are adapted from romance novels, and white snake Leifeng, which is adapted from Yuan and Ming Zaju and folk stories They are the pagoda, Chen Shimei's Sanguantang, Sangu huimen and jinshanpo's self sighing, which are directly drawn from social life. Since modern times, new programs have been compiled and performed, such as "Jinshan guest sighs for himself", "Chinese workers complain about hate", "state affairs complain about the root cause", "Jinshan letter" and "song of passing the port".
However, the survival and development of muyuge is now in danger of being lost, which is in urgent need of rescue and protection.
