He joined the China Association for the promotion of international NGO cooperation in 1999 and the Beijing International Volunteer Association in 2001. since its establishment, the association has cooperated with relevant organizations and institutions, implemented UNDP Yunnan comprehensive poverty alleviation and sustainable development project, and established good relations with domestic and foreign organizations and institutions. It has made positive contributions to the economic development, social progress and the improvement of people's living standards in Jinping border minority areas. At present, the association has 17 group members and 81 individual members. Now there are 11 staff members, including 5 full-time staff, 3 part-time staff and 3 local volunteers. Purpose of the organization

Its purpose is to improve the poor farmers' self-organization, self-development, self-management ability and improve the ecological environment as the fundamental goal. Through the exchange and cooperation with domestic and foreign organizations and institutions, and using domestic and foreign aid funds and other funds, the poor community is the main battlefield and the poor people in the community are the support objects, and there is no need to mortgage and guarantee to provide small-scale services to the rural poor farmers In order to meet the needs of their production and development, promote the rural, social and economic development of the region, and gradually help the local farmers to realize the sustainable development of rural areas, we should provide comprehensive services such as credit funds, technology and market information.

Project implementation

Since 1992, with the great help of the China International Economic and technological exchange center of the Ministry of foreign trade and economic cooperation and the United Nations development program, the county's UNDP project management office has been registered in the county's poverty alleviation and development leading group office. It does not serve the organization for the purpose of making profits. The organization has a director of the project office, an accountant, a cashier, a technician and an administrator, and a township (town) project manager Management office, community members, etc. During the implementation of the project, we operate in strict accordance with the requirements of the project documents. We always adhere to the principle of "taking poor households as the main target, funds to households, short-term small loan, no mortgage, no guarantee, whole loan zero repayment and continuous loan". We adhere to the joint insurance system of mutual assistance, mutual assistance, mutual insurance and risk sharing. Farmers live nearby, industry related and voluntary cooperation 5-7 households form a group and democratically recommend the group leader; adhere to the central meeting system, 5-8 groups form a center, hold a central meeting every quarter, carry out exchange activities through the meeting, and adhere to the whole loan zero repayment system. The monthly repayment system is adopted, that is, once a month, the supporting funds are paid off in a year, which gives farmers repayment pressure and income generating power. Strengthen the training of project team members and farmers, improve the quality of project management and the scientific and technological content of rural production. Since the launch of UNDP micro credit project in June 1996, it has rapidly covered 12 administrative villages and natural villages in 2 townships (towns) of our county. Before and after the establishment of 89 centers and 373 groups, it has invested a total of 5.027 million yuan to support 3433 poor farmers, 16345 people and 1008 women's loans, accounting for 55.91% of the total number of borrowers, and the repayment rate is 86.5%. After obtaining loans, farmers engaged in planting, breeding, processing, business, service and other industries, and made arduous efforts to start their own businesses. Obvious changes have taken place in their families, their lives have changed, and their incomes have increased significantly. Some poor households have got rid of poverty and become rich, and striding forward to a well-off life.

Background

Jinping is a multi-ethnic poverty-stricken county in the border mountainous area, with weak infrastructure and backward culture, education, science and technology. Social and economic development is restricted by natural, geographical, historical and cultural conditions. In the case of low primitive accumulation, there are still 76000 people in the county who have not yet solved the problem of food and clothing. Most of these people live in remote, alpine and rocky areas of ethnic minorities, with poor production and living conditions. Their poverty is caused by many factors, the most important of which is lack of funds. They have no mortgage and can't provide guarantee, so they can't get funds from banks and other financial institutions, so their productivity can't be fully developed. In 1995, the intervention of UNDP micro credit project opened the door of Jinping micro credit. With the goal of sustainable development, it made use of the management fees paid by the fund users to pay the operating costs, and continued to provide financial assistance to the low-income poor people. In particular, the poverty alleviation mode of "small amount, short-term, continuous and open" and "five household joint insurance" has formed a major feature of Jinping's poverty alleviation work.
