Under the leadership and support of the Shanghai municipal government, the Ministry of human resources and social security (formerly the Ministry of labor and social security) and the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, on May 19, 2007, the Yangtze River Endowment Insurance Co., Ltd. was officially established by 13 large and medium-sized state-owned enterprises, including China Taibao group. Changjiang pension is a national and professional pension management organization. In 2009, with the approval of CIRC, the company completed part of the share transfer and capital increase, with the current registered capital of 787.6 million yuan.

Enterprise memorabilia

In 2007, Changjiang pension obtained the qualification of trustee, investment manager and account manager of enterprise annuity fund issued by the Ministry of human resources and social security at one time. At the end of the same year, it started the work of receiving and transferring the assets of Shanghai's original enterprise annuity fund. In July 2008, Changjiang pension successfully established the transition plan of Shanghai enterprise annuity, successfully completed the overall transfer of 18.6 billion assets, 5646 enterprises and 750000 individuals' accounts, and fully started the operation of external services.

In 2009, Changjiang pension began to develop its business to the whole country. As a pilot unit of collective enterprise annuity plan, Changjiang pension, together with its strategic partners Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, Bank of communications and China Construction Bank, initiated three "golden" series of collective enterprise annuity plans. By the end of 2009, the transition plan of Shanghai enterprise annuity was due and converted, and Changjiang pension launched its first series of collective enterprise annuity plans With the approval of the "Yangtze River golden series collective enterprise annuity plan", we have once again successfully realized the smooth and orderly market-oriented transformation of 24.6 billion assets and nearly 830000 accounts. So far, China's largest enterprise pension transition plan officially ended.

In 2010, the Yangtze River pension innovatively launched the establishment of "shengshihuazhang" endowment security commission management product, which provides a solution for the majority of enterprises to participate in the multi-level pension security plan.

In 2011, the Yangtze River pension and its strategic partners, Agricultural Bank of China and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, jointly developed two new "golden" series of enterprise annuity plans, providing a good platform for enterprises across the country to participate in enterprise annuity plans. Facing the future, Changjiang Pension Company will continue to take customer demand as the guidance, and actively carry out the development and innovation of pension products, so as to better serve the majority of customers.

On April 28, 2011, the central and southern pension center of Changjiang Endowment Insurance Co., Ltd. was officially opened in Wuhan, which is the third regional pension center established by Changjiang endowment insurance after the northern pension center in 2009 and the eastern pension center in 2010.

On September 22, 2016, Changjiang pension insurance, together with wechat financial link, launched a new personal pension security product - "Changjiang enjoy life No.5 portfolio".

On November 19, 2019, the list of Asian financial competitiveness in 2019 was announced, and Changjiang Endowment Insurance Co., Ltd. won the award of "excellent Asian endowment insurance company in 2019".

On November 20, 2020, "the decision of the Central Committee of civilization on Commending the Sixth National Civilized City, civilized village, civilized unit, the second national civilized family, civilized campus and the new national advanced ideological and moral construction of minors" was commended as "the sixth national civilized unit".
