Huqiu street has 6 communities and 2 villages: Qingtang community, Tongxing community, Huqiu community, Hongxing community, Caoyang community, Shantang community, Lubei village and Chahua village.

In August 2014, Hufu community was established.

In March 2017, under the jurisdiction of the original Liuyuan street, there were 11 community neighborhood committees and 2 administrative villages, including shuofangzhuang community, Liuyuan community, Xiyuan Community, Hutian community, ren'an community, fiberglass Road community, Huqiu Road community, Xinzhuang community, guanjing community, Laiyun community and JIAYE sunshine city community.

In May 2017, huchiyuan community was established.

Street management scope: to the west of the boundary with Pingjiang District, to the South and east of the planned red line of Huning Expressway and Suzhou logistics park, and to the East and north of Guangji road and shantanghe southwest bank line connecting with Beijing Shanghai railway. Huqiu street has superior geographical location and convenient transportation. Shanghai Nanjing railway, 312 National Highway and Shanghai Nanjing Expressway run through the whole territory. It is only 80 km from Huqiu to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and 90 km to Zhangjiagang port.

In Huqiu street, there are more than ten municipal cultural relics protection units, such as Huqiu mountain, the most famous mountain in Wuzhong, Shantang historical and Cultural District, Wuren tomb and Yuhan hall. The experimental section of Shantang historical and Cultural District, which is listed as a practical project of the municipal government, has been completed since it was started in June 2002.
