Wanggou town

Wanggou town is a town under the jurisdiction of Fengxian County, Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, 10 kilometers west of Fengxian County. Located at the junction of Jiangsu, Shandong and Anhui provinces, it is known as the "three provinces of jixiaoming". With a total area of 126.21 square kilometers (2017), it has cultivated land of 120101 mu, 31 administrative villages and 176 natural villages. Population 90500 (2017). The town is located in the east of the town, covering an area of 3.94 square kilometers, with a permanent population of 6858, including 3082 non-agricultural population. Wanggou town was merged from Danlou Township and Wanggou township. In April 2000, with the approval of Jiangsu Provincial People's government, Wanggou town was built from township.

On November 21, 2019, Wanggou town was selected into the list of the third batch of national "anti pornography and anti illegal" grassroots demonstration sites. On December 16, 2019, it will be included in the list of the third batch of smart health elderly care demonstration streets (towns).

Topography

Wanggou town belongs to the Yellow River impact plain, with a high elevation of 42-44m, and the west is slightly higher than the East. There are three rivers in the territory: Miaocheng River, Baiyi River and taihangdi River in east-west direction, sanliangan River in north-south direction, Erzhi River and Miaocheng river. After the first and second stage excavation, Miaocheng river reservoir with a width of 200 meters and a height of 37 meters and a storage capacity of 5 million cubic meters has been formed.
