Shanggang Xincun Street

Shanggang Xincun Street (Shanggang community) is located in Pudong New Area, along the south end of Huangpu Jiangxi, east to South Road, South to Chuanyang River, West and north to Huangpu River, surrounded by water on three sides. The total area of the area is 7.54 square kilometers, of which 2 square kilometers are the construction area of the main exhibition hall of Shanghai World Expo 2010, and 1.7 square kilometers are the riverside development area on both sides of the Pujiang River. There are 23 residential areas in the 3 square kilometers of the community, with a registered residence population of 92 thousand.

Historical evolution

The Chuanyang River, excavated in 1978, passes along the river. in August 1986, jianshanggang new village street was designated from Zhoujiadu Street. It got its name from Shanggang new village and belongs to Nanshi District. In 1993, it was transferred to Pudong New Area.
