Chelu Township, subordinate to Xunke County, Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the north of Xunke County, bordering Xinxing Oroqen Township in the East, Songshugou Township and Xinxing Township in the south, border town in the west, and Russia across the Heilongjiang River in the north. It is 27 kilometers away from Xunke County, with a total administrative area of 520.27 square kilometers.
In the late Qing Dynasty, Chelu Township belonged to the vice capital of Heilongjiang Province; in April 1984, it was changed from Chelu commune to Chelu township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Che Lu township was 7685. In 2019, Chelu Township governs 10 administrative villages, and the people's government is in Chelu village.

History of construction
In the late Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the vice capital of Heilongjiang. In 1908, Chelu Zhili hall was set up.
In 1914, the Oroqen Office of bilar road moved from Xunhe to Chelu, which was in charge of Oroqen affairs. The local administration was in charge of local patrol, tax collection, moving farmers and reclamation. In February 1929, Qike set up the Administration Bureau. In 1934, it belonged to qikebao. In July 1943, it belonged to Qike village, Xunke county. In the 34th year of the Republic of China (1945), it belonged to zone 2 of Songshugou, Qike.
In 1949, it was divided into the fourth district.
In April 1956, Chelu and Songshugou townships were set up.
In September 1958, Chelu township was transformed into Chelu commune.
In April 1984, Chelu commune was transformed into Chelu township.
