Shizhong Township
Shizhong Township, subordinate to Baiquan County, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the southwest of Baiquan County. It is adjacent to Baiquan Town in the East, Longquan town in the south, Fuqiang Township in the West and Fengchan Township in the north. It is 14 kilometers away from the county, with a total administrative area of 142 square kilometers.
In 1901, Shizhong township was under the jurisdiction of yikeming'an banner; in 1984, Shizhong commune was changed into Shizhong township. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in rural areas was 20581. In 2019, Shizhong Township governs 10 administrative villages.
Shizhong township is one of the main grain producing areas in Baiquan County. The main grain crops are corn, millet, soybean, high-yield corn and wheat. The main economic crops are flax and beet. In 2018, Shizhong township has three comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
Qing Guangxu 27 years (1901), wasteland construction, under the jurisdiction of yikeming an banner. In 1906, it was under the jurisdiction of Baiquan County.
In May 1938, Shizhong village was established.
In the 34th year of the Republic of China (September 1945), it was renamed the second district.
In 1949, it was renamed Shizhong District.
In 1956, it was changed into Leye township.
In 1958, it was changed into Minyue commune.
In 1982, it was divided into two communes: Minyue commune and Shizhong commune.
In 1984, Shizhong commune was changed into Shizhong township.
