Baoxing Township, belonging to Fangzheng County, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the south of Fangzheng County, bordering on Deshan Township in the East, northeast and North, facing Qingyang farm of Yanshou County across Liangzhu River in the South and Ant River in the West. The township government is located in Yongxing Village, 10 kilometers away from Fangzheng county government. The area is 175.56 square kilometers.

Historical evolution
The name of Baoxing Township comes from baoxingtun, where it was stationed at the beginning of the establishment of the government.
At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of Yanshou county.
In February 1946, it was transferred to Fangzheng county and set up Baoxing District, where the district government was stationed.
In 1950, it was changed to the seventh district.
In October 1955, it was changed into Baoxing district.
In March 1956, Baoxing Township and Yongjian Township were set up.
In September 1958, Baoxing Township and Yongjian Township were merged into Baoxing Township and renamed Baoxing people's commune at the end of the same year.
In August 1962, the southern region was set aside and Yongjian commune was established.
In 1969, the commune moved to yongxingtun.
In August 1984, the government and society were separated and changed to Baoxing township.
In March 2001, Yongjian township was incorporated.
