Houshi town

Houshi Town, subordinate to Dongfeng County, Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province, is located in the west of Dongfeng County, bordering lalahe town and nantunji town in the East, xiaosiping town in the south, yangmulin town in the West and Lingyun Township in Dongliao County in the north. It covers an area of 126.93 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 15878 households had registered residence in the town of monkey.

In 1949, it belonged to the Second District of Dongfeng County. In 1956, Houshi township was established. In 1958, the township changed into a commune. In 1983, the commune was transformed into a township. In September 1992, the township was transformed into a town. As of June 2020, Houshi town has jurisdiction over 12 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in group 2 of Houshi village.

Houshi town is located in Jilin hadaling low hills and Huifa River Valley area, surrounded by mountains, rolling hills, high in the West and low in the East. The terrain is divided into North and south parts from the middle Shahe. The terrain along both sides of the river is relatively flat, and extends to the north and south sides. The terrain gradually rises, forming a ship shape landform of high, medium and low between the north and the south. Toad spring mountain, the highest point in the territory, is located in the west, with an altitude of 474 meters; Lianhe exit in the East, the lowest point, is located in Anye village, with an altitude of 371 meters.
