Simian Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Changtu County, Tieling City, Liaoning Province, is located in the middle of Changtu County, adjacent to ronglushu town in the East, Taiping Town in the South and Sihe town in the north, with an administrative area of 113.33 square kilometers.
In October 1949, it was the Second District of Changtu County; in 1984, the second township was changed into simian town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in four towns was 24075. As of June 2020, simian town has 12 administrative villages.
In 2011, the total revenue of simian town was 13 million yuan, an increase of 20% over the previous year. The per capita net income of farmers is 9220 yuan. In 2018, there were 9 industrial enterprises in simian town and 23 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In October 1949, it was the Second District of Changtu County.
In December 1954, simian city belonged to Baoli District of Changtu County.
In February 1956, the district was merged to build a township, and 20 Jiazi township was built, belonging to the Second District of Changtu County.
In March 1958, the district was withdrawn and 20 Jiazi township was built.
In October 1958, the village of 20 Jiazi was transformed into 20 Jiazi commune, which governs the area of simian city.
In November 1983, the commune was transformed into two townships.
In 1984, two townships were changed into four towns.
