Mantanghong Town, subordinate to Zhangwu County, Fuxin City, Liaoning Province, is located in the northwest of Zhangwu County. It faces Daling Mongolian town across Liuhe River in the East, haltao town and Fengtian Township in the south, sibuzi town in the west, and Sanjiazi Township in Kulun banner, Inner Mongolia autonomous region across Liuhe River in the north. Its administrative area is 194 square kilometers.
In 1958, it belonged to Shengli commune and was renamed mantanghong commune in the same year. At the beginning of 1984, the commune was transformed into a township. In 2013, the township was replaced by township. By the end of 2018, the population of the registered residence in the town was 12301. As of June 2020, mantanghong town has six administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in mantanghong village.

Historical evolution
Before liberation, it belonged to Liunan village.
In the winter of 1947, after the liberation of Zhangwu, it belonged to the people's Government of the Fifth District.
In 1958, it belonged to Shengli commune and was renamed mantanghong commune in the same year.
At the beginning of 1984, the commune was transformed into a township.
In 2013, the township was replaced by township.
