Shia-ying-shiang
Xiaying Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Ledu District, Haidong City, Qinghai Province, is located in the southwest of Ledu District, adjacent to Chengtai Township in the East, Hualong County in the south, bazanggou Township in Ping'an County in the west, and Ximen village in Gaodian town in the north. The administrative area is 72.41 square kilometers.
By the end of 2018, 4777 households registered residence in the rural areas. As of October 2019, Xiaying township has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages.
The main grain crops in Xiaying are wheat and potato. In 2011, Xiaying produced 1548 tons of grain, 295.8 kg per capita.
History of construction
At the beginning of the Republic of China, it belonged to guidebao, which was called Weixin Township and egalitarian Township successively.
In 1950, along the old system set up Chalong township.
In 1956, it was transferred to Gaodian township.
In 1958, it was incorporated into Hanzhuang commune.
In 1963, Xiaying commune was set up separately.
In 1984, Xiaying Tibetan township was established.

Xiaying township is located at the northern foot of Laji mountain range in the south of the middle and lower reaches of Huangshui River Basin. The terrain is high in the South and low in the north, with an average altitude of 2622 meters. The highest peak is Ayi mountain range, with an altitude of 4168 meters, and the lowest is 2100 meters.

Xiaying township has a semi-arid climate on the continental plateau. The annual average temperature is about 9 ℃, the annual sunshine hours are 2600 hours, the annual precipitation is more than 360 mm, and the annual radiation is 130-145 kcal / cm. The rainfall is concentrated from May to September, with the most in August.

There is no big river in Xiaying Township, and there is a small stream flowing from south to north, with a flow rate of 0.28 m3 / s and a drainage area of 150000 square meters. Drought and water shortage are the restricting factors for the development of agriculture.

Because of the early frost in mountain area, highland barley, wheat and oilseed could not be pollinated well, which affected the yield.
