Gaoba town
Gaoba Town, belonging to Liangzhou District, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, is located in the southeast suburb of Liangzhou city. It is adjacent to Qingshui town in the East, Wunan town in the southeast, hanzuo town in the south, Xinhua Town in the west, Jinta town and Wuwei City in the northwest, and Jinyang town and Fufang town in the north. The area is 93 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Gao Ba town was 60155.
Gaoba town is located in the seventh dam of Zamu River, named for its high embankment. From the Western Han Dynasty to the "Wuliang" period of the Sixteen States, Gaoba town belonged to guzang County, Wuwei County. In September 1949, it belonged to Dahe, Daliu and Jinta districts. In October 1958, Gaoba and Liuba merged to form Gaoba commune for Xinhua commune. In January 1986, Xinhua township was merged into Gaoba township. In November 1991, Gaoba was withdrawn from the township and built into a town. In July 2004, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged into Jianshe township. As of June 2020, Gaoba town has jurisdiction over 11 communities and 26 administrative villages. The town people's government is located in Ludi village.

History of construction
From the Western Han Dynasty to the "Wuliang" period of the Sixteen States, Gaoba town belonged to guzang County, Wuwei County.
From the Northern Wei Dynasty to the early Sui Dynasty, it belonged to Linzhong County of Wuwei County.
During the Tang and Song Dynasties, it returned to guzang county.

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was successively returned to liangzhouwei county and Wuwei County.
After 1912, it belonged to Daliu, Dahe and Jinta townships of Wuwei County.
In September 1949, it belonged to Dahe, Daliu and Jinta districts.
In July 1952, it belonged to the third district (Hongya), the Tenth District (Dahe) and the eighteenth district (Nanying).
In January 1956, Gaoba, Liuba and Xinhua townships were merged.
In October 1958, Gaoba and Liuba merged to form Gaoba commune for Xinhua commune.
In 1962, Gaoba commune was divided into Liuba commune and Gaoba commune, and Xinhua commune was divided into Xinhua commune and Jianshe commune.
In March 1983, the government and society were divided into Liuba, Gaoba and Jianshe townships.
In January 1986, Xinhua township was merged into Gaoba township.
In November 1991, Gaoba was withdrawn from the township and built into a town.
In July 2004, Liuba township was merged into ronghua street, where Xinguan village was originally under its jurisdiction.

Niujia Garden
Located in Tongyi village, Gaoba Town, Niujia garden is the former residence of famous Niu Jian in Qing Dynasty. It covers an area of 70 mu. Because there are 24 cypress trees beside the house, Niu Jian named the house "24 cypress Pavilion". After entering the courtyard, there are chukuo rooms on all sides, and chukuo wooden buildings are pulled up on the south, West and north sides. The courtyard is divided into the front and rear courtyard by the waist hall. In the upper room of the backyard, there is a plaque written by Emperor Daoguang. The Weiqiang site of niujian's former residence, ancient cypress, pines and trees are well preserved.
