Dongba Township
Dongba township is located in the northeast of Chaoyang District. It starts from Sanchahe in the East, beigangzi in the west, beimafang in the north and Xinjie village in the south. It is more than ten kilometers away from Chaoyang Gate, which can be called the "threshold" of the eastern suburb of the ancient capital Beijing. Its geographical location determines its position in politics, military, economy and other aspects, and has always been regarded as an important town in East Beijing.
The emergence of Dongba can be traced back to the Eastern Han Dynasty, more than 2000 years ago. Later, it changed its name to andexiang in the Jin Dynasty, zhengcunba in the Yanyou period of the Yuan Dynasty, and Dongba in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty.
Evolution of organizational system
Dongba, namely Zhengcun dam, is one of the seven dams on Futong River (today's Ba River) in Yuan Dynasty. When it comes to Dongba, we must raise the dam river. Ba River (at first called Futong River) was an artificial canal excavated during the Yuan Dynasty. Before the navigation of Tonghui River, it played an important role in the water transport of the capital. From guangximen in xiangheyuan street of Chaoyang District in the west to Shawo village in louzizhuang township of Chaoyang District in the east to Wenyu River, it can be said that it is an "inland river" in Chaoyang District. The origin of its name is due to the excavation of the river on both sides of the earth pile dam.
Due to the high terrain in the West and low terrain in the East, there are earth dams on the river for safe and smooth navigation. From the west, there are qiansiba, changqingba, guocunba, xiyangba, zhengcunba, wangcunba and shengouba. In the middle, zhengcunba is an important dam gate (still existing) on the dam river and an important wharf along the water transport line. Therefore, in history, the town's commerce, service industry and handicraft industry are extremely developed. The trade of handicrafts and agricultural and sideline products is very active, and the development of economy promotes the prosperity of culture.
According to the archaeological records of Lucheng, "there is ande Township 20 miles northwest of Tongzhou. Its name is Bashang. People in Tongzhou call it Beiba, and people in Tongzhou call it Dongba, that is, zhengcunba." The name of Dongba has been used since 1593. According to the history of the Ming Dynasty, in 1399, the first year of Jianwen, Zhu Di, the king of Yan, launched the "battle of Jingnan". In December, he had a fierce battle with the Ming emperor Huidi's General Li Jinglong, which broke through the seven battalions of Li's army and broke the siege of Peiping. In this battle, Zhu Di's Mount qingjuma contributed to the rescue and construction of the horse temple in the Ming Dynasty. The site is located on the tufu beside the road outside the north gate of the village. Yuma court was set up here in Ming Dynasty.
Beijing No.16 middle school, located in Dongba, is the first middle school established by the people's Government in the eastern suburbs after the founding of new China. There is a pine forest on the west side of the school, which is the remains of the cemetery. Mr. Feng Qili, an expert in the history of the Qing Dynasty, confirmed that it was the cemetery of GuLun, Princess Jing and her husband seputen balazhur. The princess was the third daughter of Emperor Qianlong, and was granted the title of Duke Fu at the beginning of the reign of Emperor Qianlong. Dongba Princess cemetery is the only cemetery of Princess Hejing's residence in the suburb of Beijing, and its descendants are buried here one after another. It is said that Liu Yong, a bachelor, personally supervised the repair of the tomb. During the period of the Republic of China, the tombs were cut and plundered for several times, and now only pine forests are left. The most important temples in Dongba are horse temple and Niangniang Temple.
Since the Yuan Dynasty, there have been many Royal horse farms and forage farms in the northern and eastern suburbs of Kyoto. By the Ming Dynasty, there was a "Royal Horse garden" in Dongba, which was specially used to raise fighting horses. In the "battle of zhengcunba", Zhu Di, the king of Yan, made great contributions to the rescue of his horse. After he became emperor, he built a horse temple, which is located outside the north gate of the town. Later, Yingzong Zhuqi town also went to Dongba to inspect the horse team. Niangniang Temple used to be numerous in the suburbs of Beijing. According to the research of Bai Hequn, a folklorist, the Niangniang Temple in Dongba is one of the five famous "Dongding" in Beijing.
It is said that the lion dance at the north gate of Dongba was "Jinling ancestor lion" by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, which was the first of the thirteen Taishi stalls in the capital of the Qing Dynasty. A pair of green and yellow lions are now in the capital museum.
Dongba donkey meat, which is made by traditional technology, is famous for its unique flavor in Kyoto.
