Maixin town
Maixin Town, belonging to Kailu County, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the west of Kailu County, adjacent to heilongba town in the East, facing Wengniute Banner and Naiman Banner across Xilamulun River and Xiliao River in the south, and aluhorqin banner in the north. The area is 221.7 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 32040 people registered residence.
In 1958, Maixin commune was established. In 1984, Maixin town was established. In 2001, taihekou township was merged into Maixin town. As of June 2020, Maixin town has 16 administrative villages and 2 village level units.
By the end of 2018, there was one industrial enterprise in Maixin town and 201 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
Formerly known as district five.
In 1948, in memory of the revolutionary martyr Mai Xin, the five districts were renamed Mai Xin District.
In 1958, Maixin commune was established.
In 1984, Maixin town was established.
In 2001, taihekou township was merged into Maixin town.

It is known as "two rivers with one river". It is narrow in the West and wide in the East. The elevation difference in the territory is not big. The average altitude is 290 meters, inclining from west to East.

hydrology
Xilamulun river flows into Maixin town from the west end and is divided by taihekou hub. Xilamulun river flows through 30 kilometers in the South and joins Laoha River to form Xiliao River, with a length of 8.5 kilometers in Xiliao River and 45 kilometers in Xinkai River in the north.
