Niujiayingzi town is located in the south of Chifeng City and the northeast of Kalaqin banner. It is adjacent to Hongshan District in the East, Shijia Manchu Township, Jinshan Town and xiaoniuqun town in the South and Songshan District in the north. The people's government is stationed in niujiayingzi village. The administrative area of niujiayingzi town is 354 square kilometers. In late 2018, 58913 people registered residence in Niu Jiaying town.

After liberation, it belonged to the fourth district. In April 1958, the township was divided into three townships: niujiayingzi, xiashuidi and yongfengtai. In February 1960, it was established as niujiayingzi and yongfengtai communes. In 1984, the two communes were transformed into townships. In September 2005, Yongfeng Township was merged into niujiayingzi town. In October 2019, niujiayingzi town governs 18 administrative villages.
