Xingsheng Town, belonging to Qingshan District, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the north of Qingshan District, adjacent to Shiguai District in the East, National Highway 110 in the south, Kundulun District in the West and Daqingshan in the north. The area is 168.66 square kilometers. In 2018, 12595 people registered residence.

In 1962, it was transferred from houyingzi commune to jianxingsheng commune. In 1984, it was changed into Xingsheng township. In 1999, it was changed into Xingsheng town. In 2001, houyingzi township was merged into Xingsheng town. In 2006, the new town was merged into Xingsheng town. In June 2020, Xingsheng town governs 2 communities and 15 administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 85 industrial enterprises in Xingsheng town and 14 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

In 1958, it belonged to houyingzi commune.

In 1962, it was transferred from houyingzi commune to jianxingsheng commune.

In 1984, it was changed into Xingsheng township.

In 1999, it was changed into Xingsheng town.

In 2001, houyingzi township was merged into Xingsheng town.

In 2006, the new town was merged into Xingsheng town.

In 2008, Xingsheng town was assigned to Qingshan District.
