Dachang Town
Dachang town belongs to Baoshan District of Shanghai. It is located in the north suburb of Shanghai and the southwest of Baoshan District. It is adjacent to Pengpu town and Dachang airport of Jing'an District in the East, Putuo District in the south, Taopu town of Putuo District and Baoshan Urban Industrial Park in the west, and wenzaobang in the north, with a total area of 27.22 square kilometers. 360206 (2017). It has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages and 60 communities. In 2014, the contracted foreign capital of Dachang town was US $19.74 million, the actually utilized foreign capital was US $19.21 million, the foreign trade export was US $535.82 million, and the tax revenue was RMB 2561.63 million.
There are historical buildings such as the ancient pagoda of Baolin temple, the memorial hall of taozhilong temple and so on.
History of construction
Dachang town was formed during the reign of Liang Tianjian in the Southern Dynasty (502-519 A.D.) and belonged to Kunshan county at the beginning.
On the ninth day of December in the tenth year of Jiading in the Southern Song Dynasty (January 7, 1218), Kunshan county was separated from the eastern territory to establish Jiading County, and the territory was changed to Linjiang township of Jiading County. Later, Linjiang township was renamed Yiren Township, which was under the jurisdiction of Pingjiang Prefecture, West Zhejiang Road.
In the second year of Yuanzhen (1296), the county was promoted to the state government, which was under the jurisdiction of Pingjiang Road, the province of Jiangsu and Zhejiang.
In the second year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1369), the state government was changed to the county government, which was under the jurisdiction of Suzhou. In the early Qing Dynasty, Yiren Township, Jiading County, Suzhou was the capital.
In 1670, the county was flooded. In the following year, a congee factory was set up to provide relief to the victims.
In the second year of Yongzheng (1724), Baoshan county was set up in the east of Jiading County, which belonged to Baoshan county and was subordinate to Zhili Prefecture of Taicang, Jiangsu Province.
During the reign of Daoguang in Jiaqing, factories gradually replaced townships to manage local administrative affairs.
Xuantong two years (1910), changed the factory to Township, the territory is Baoshan County Dachang township.
In 1912, Baoshan county was under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province.
In October of the 18th year of the Republic of China, the county jurisdiction system was implemented, which was subordinate to the second district (Dachang) of Baoshan county.
In August of the 26th year of the Republic of China, the Anti Japanese war broke out in Songhu. In November, Shanghai was occupied. In December, Dachang was put under the jurisdiction of Shanghai by the Japanese puppet "Shanghai Avenue government" and renamed Dachang town.
In August of the 32nd year of the Republic of China, the puppet regime set up 31 police districts in the city, and Dachang was subordinate to the 24th police district.
In August of the Republic of China, after the victory of the Anti Japanese War, the area belonged to Dachang District of Baoshan County in Jiangsu Province and the 24th District of Shanghai city. Until August of the Republic of China, the area was officially assigned to the 24th District of Shanghai City, and soon the 24th district was renamed Dachang District.
In May 1949, after the liberation of Shanghai, the region still belonged to Dachang District of Shanghai.
On June 29, 1950, the people's Government of Dachang District was established and the Dachang District takeover Committee was abolished.
At the beginning of 1956, the organizational system of Dachang District was abolished and merged into the northern suburb. After the adjustment, there were Dachang Town People's Committee and Changnan Township People's Committee in the town.
In August 1958, the northern suburb was withdrawn and incorporated into Baoshan county. In September of the same year, the original Dachang Town, Changnan Township and Fengxi Township were merged to establish Dongfanghong people's commune. The commune set up a management committee and the organ was stationed in Dachang town.
In 1960, Dachang commune was dissolved and merged into Pengpu people's commune.
In September 1961, Dachang town was transferred from Pengpu people's commune to become a town directly under the county, and the people's Committee of Dachang town was established.
In January 1981, Dachang commune abolished the Revolutionary Committee and restored the commune management committee. Dachang town also abolished the Revolutionary Committee and established the people's Government of Dachang town.
In 1984, the commune was removed and the township was built. The land was divided into Dachang Township and Dachang town.
In January 1988, Baoshan county and Wusong District merged to establish Baoshan District, which also belongs to Baoshan District.
On June 24, 1989, a new people's Government of Dachang Town in Baoshan District was formally established.

In October 1945, Dachang District had one town and nine townships under its jurisdiction. Baojia was set up in the townships, and there were 64 Baojia in the whole district.
On May 26, 1949, Dachang was liberated, with the first to sixth offices.
After the land reform in 1951, Dachang District was adjusted to one town, 12 townships and one office.
In December 1961, Dachang people's commune was restored, with 10 brigades under its jurisdiction, Xinhua, Yuqing, Changnan, Dongfanghong, Zhenda, Changzhong, Sanqiao, Lianhe, NANDA and Maqiao. Dachang town has jurisdiction over the first neighborhood committee (East Street), the second neighborhood committee (West Street) and the third neighborhood committee (West of Luqiao). So far, Dachang town has basically stabilized, and Dachang commune and Dachang town have coexisted for a long time.
In May 1989, the original system of Dachang Township and Dachang town was abolished and a new Dachang town was established.
In August 1989, the four neighborhood committees of the former Dachang Town, including Dongjie, Xijie, luoheqiao and LianJian, were under the jurisdiction of Dachang town after "removing the second and building the first".
In October 1989, the original Dachang township residents committee was renamed Dachang Town joint residents committee. So far, the new Dachang town has jurisdiction over seven villages, namely Xinhua, Changnan, Changzhong, Dongfanghong, NANDA, Liandong and Lianxi, and five neighborhood committees, namely, Dongjie, Xijie, luoheqiao, LianJian and Lianhe.
