Ping'an town

Pingan Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Gongcheng Yao Autonomous County, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the east of Gongcheng Yao Autonomous County, bordering Sanjiang Township in the East, Gongcheng town in the west, Lianhua town in the South and Jiahui town in the north, with a total area of 23470 hectares. In 1934, Heping township was established, belonging to the first district. On July 17, 2019, the township will be set up. By the end of 2017, the total number of registered residence households in Ping'an town was 11255, with a total population of 38302 people, of whom 27194 were the Yao population, accounting for 71% of the total population. As of the end of 2019, 15 administrative villages were under the jurisdiction of the Township People's Government in Qiaotou village.

In 2017, the revenue of Ping'an town was 3.81 million yuan, including 3.61 million yuan of state tax and 200000 yuan of local tax; 909 million yuan of fixed assets investment; 36.7 million yuan of investment promotion.

On December 16, 2019, Ping'an town was selected into the list of the third batch of smart health elderly care demonstration streets (towns).

History of construction

In 1934, Heping township was established, belonging to the first district.

At the end of 1952, Taozhuang township was merged into Heping township.

On September 1, 1958, it merged with Xiantang and beidongyuan townships to form Heping commune.

In the second half of 1962, it was renamed Heping District. In January 1969, it was renamed peace commune.

In November 1982, it was renamed Ping'an commune.

In July 1984, Ping'an township was set up. Up to now, 15 villagers' committees have been set up.

In 1987, the village committee was transformed into a village office.

In 1989, Pingan Township set up 15 village offices and 61 village committees.

In December 1995, the village office was replaced by the village committee, and the original village committee was no longer retained.

On July 17, 2019, the township will be set up.

By the end of 2019, Ping'an town has 15 administrative villages: Heping Village, Daling village, xiashanyuan village, Taozhuang village, Dajiang village, beidongyuan village, Beixi village, Jutang village, Xinjie village, Qiaotou village, Lukou village, sanxinqiao village, taomaping village, Huangbu village and Tupi village, with a total of 93 natural villages and 352 villager groups; the Township People's government is stationed in Qiaotou village.
