Hongwei township is located in the northeast of Xiaoshan City. It is located in the radiation center of Xiaoshan reclamation area and the mainland. It was planned to be built in October 1976, established the reform committee of Hongwei people's commune in 1978, changed to the people's commune management committee in July 1980, changed to the township people's Government in March 1984, and merged into Toupeng town in May 1992. The town people's government is located in Toupeng natural town. It is adjacent to xinwan town in the East, Hezhuang town in the west, Yisheng town in the southeast, Qianjin Township in the north and 28 km from the urban area in the southwest. Qingpeng highway and Nansha levee pass through the territory. It is a century old town in Nansha and a sandy plain formed by sediment deposition.
