History of construction

In Qing Dynasty, it belonged to ningguta Niulu Zhangjing.

In the 25th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1899), a bureau of land reclamation in honey mountain was set up, belonging to Suifen Hall of Yilan Road, a general of Jilin Province.

In 1908, it belonged to Mishan Prefecture.

In 1913, it belonged to Mishan county.

In 1931, it belonged to Mishan county and Jining County of Dong'an province.

In August 1949, it belonged to Jixi County.

In 1956, Yonghe Central Township was established.

In 1957, it was assigned to Mishan county.

In January 1965, the township was transformed into a commune, which was put under the jurisdiction of Jidong county.
