Yidie town is located in the west of Shilou County, 27 kilometers away from the county. Shiqing highway runs across it, adjacent to Lingquan town by tuanyuan mountain in the East, Qianshan Township in the west, hehe Township in the South and XiaoSuan town in the north.

There are 8 administrative villages and 34 natural villages in the town, with 2011 households and a population of 6213. The land area is 96 square kilometers, with 51515 mu of arable land, 68383 mu of returning farmland to forest (including 18714 mu of returning farmland, 49669 mu of returning barren mountains to forest), and 40166 mu of walnut forest.

It is a pure agricultural town with a total of 210 frost free days and an average annual rainfall of 450mm. Its crops are mainly small grains such as corn and millet. In 2014, the per capita net income of farmers was 2478 yuan.
