history
Huayuankou is an old place name in the northern suburb of Zhengzhou, which has a history of more than 400 years. In the Song Dynasty, there were villages, which later became the Yellow River Ferry. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, Xu Shi was appointed as the head of the Ministry of work, managing the Yellow River, building embankments for flood control, and saving the suffering of the people. He once built a 540 Mu garden in the area of guijiazhuang and Xutang (both villages moved to the circle dike, collectively known as Nanyue dike) to the north of today's Dongda dam. It is planted with flowers and trees of all seasons and exotic flowers. Visitors are like weaving. Next to the garden is a yellow river ferry, which is called Huayuankou. In the 35th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty (1628), it fell into the Yellow River later. At the beginning of the Anti Japanese War, in order to prevent the Japanese from invading the west, the Kuomintang government ordered to blow up the Yellow River levee on the west side of Huayuankou ferry, which caused flooding in the area east of pinghan railway and caused serious casualties in 44 counties of Henan, Anhui and Jiangsu provinces. Eight years and nine months after the diversion of the Yellow River, it has brought great disaster to Henan and other people.
market development
Located in the north of Zhengzhou City, with the expansion of Zhengzhou City from the east to the north, it has recently become a hot spot for development: four major markets of PVC building materials, furniture, medicine and agricultural chemicals are under construction.
Huayuankou town belongs to Mangshan district. It is located in the "three ports and five districts" of Zhengzhou approved by the State Council. It is close to the Yellow River Bridge and 107 national highway, and has obvious traffic and location advantages. In July 2008, after the leaders of Mangshan District visited Jiangsu and Zhejiang, they brought back the development concept of daring to be the first, not arguing, and building a big market rich in finance and people. Huayuankou town combined with its own situation, took the development of non-public economy as a breakthrough, broadened investment channels, and ushered in four wholesale markets.
Huayuankou town carried out land investment, project investment, technology investment and enterprise investment, which widened the investment channels. In the first half of 2008, nine new non-public enterprises were added, accounting for 75% of the target tasks. The four major markets of PVC building materials, furniture wholesale, medicine wholesale and agricultural chemical industry cover an area of 1190 mu, with a total planned investment of 108 million yuan. The land use agreement has been signed, and the civil works have been started in succession. In the near future, Zhengzhou will have a new industrial and commercial functional area.
On September 1, 2020, Ali Research Institute announced that Taobao town and Huayuankou town will be on the list in 2020.
