Yongfa Township, which is located in Tangyuan County, Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the north of the eastern part of Tangyuan county. It is connected with Heli town in the East. It is adjacent to Wangjiang town and Taiping Chuan Township in the suburbs of Jiamusi, and adjacent to Yichun City, South Fork town, and north to Heli town. In 2018, the area was 165 square kilometers, and the registered residence population was 16671.
In 1908, Yongfa township was established. In the Republic of China, it belongs to the Fifth District of Tangyuan county. In 1958, the township changed into a commune. In July 1965, it was assigned to Tangyuan county. In July 1984, the commune was transformed into a township. In April 2001, Yude township was merged into Yongfa Township, and 23 villages were merged into 15 villages. As of October 2019, Yongfa township has 15 administrative villages and 2 living quarters.
