Chengjiao township is the suburb of Huangyuan County in Qinghai Province, located in the northeast of the county, east of Chengguan town. It has a population of 9000, mainly Han nationality, Hui, Tibetan, Mongolian and so on. The total area is 84.1 square kilometers.

It has jurisdiction over 15 village committees, including Guoguang, Wanfeng, Guanghua, Yongxing, nalongkou, helatai, dongjiazhu, gazhuang, quanerwan, liujiatai, tanyao, Beishan, Shancha, baishutang and laerguan. Before liberation, it was under the jurisdiction of Huangyang town. In 1949, it was changed into Chengguan District. In 1953, it was changed into Chengguan town. In 1958, it merged with Dongxia township to form Dongfeng commune. In 1961, it was divided into suburban commune. In 1984, it was changed into suburban township. In 2006, it was withdrawn and merged into Chengguan Town, Dongxia Township and Heping township. there are 15 administrative villages, 96 communities, 2262 households, 9596 people and 4890 labor forces in the township, with a total of 11977.64 mu of cultivated land, including 4448.65 mu of irrigated land, 3320.49 mu of shallow mountain land, 4208.55 mu of brain mountain land, 1.25 mu of cultivated land per capita, 5034 Mu of returning farmland to forest (grass) in the township, accounting for 26.4% of the total cultivated land. There are 5000 mu forest land, 62000 Mu grassland, 2730 livestock, 3859 sheep and 1216 pigs. It has 140 motor vehicles and 1174 walking tractors. Eight villages were connected with cable TV, and the comprehensive output of grain and oil reached 1.91 million kg, an increase of 60000 kg or 3.2% over the target task. In 2001, the total industrial and agricultural income of the township was 20.208 million yuan, and the per capita net income was 1193 yuan. main tourist attractions: laerguan village is located in the north of the county, 12 kilometers away from the county, and borders on Lhasa Township in Huangzhong in the East. The terrain of laerguan district is flat. In summer, there are many shrubs, green grass, gurgling springs, high mountains in the north and south, strange peaks and rocks, and vast forests. The scenery is beautiful and spectacular. In autumn, the sea of Hippophae rhamnoides, green leaves and red fruits, together with white and yellow spines dyed red by snow and frost, make people feel like returning to Beijing Xiangshan Park, like a beautiful watercolor painting. The inscription of "beautiful mountains and rivers" left by Jin Baoqing during the reign of Emperor Guangxu during the Jiachen period of the reign of Emperor Guangxu was also left here, which left another highlight for the beautiful and spectacular laerguan scenic spot.
