Songshan Town, belonging to Panshi City, Jilin City, Jilin Province, is located in the southeast of Panshi City, bordering sumigou township of Huadian City in the East, shidaohe town of Huinan County in the south, Qingyang Town of Huinan County in the west, and Heishi town in the north, 55 kilometers away from Panshi City. The area is 268.66 square kilometers.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Songshan town belonged to Heishi township; in September 1992, it was changed from Songshan township to Songshan town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Songshan town was 12639. As of June 2020, Songshan town has 1 community and 10 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Jiangnan community.
In Songshan Town, corn and rice are the main food crops; pig, cattle and poultry are the main animal husbandry; iron ore mining, iron concentrate production and wood products processing are the main industries. History of construction
The first year of the Republic of China (1912), belongs to Heishi township. In 1934, it was named hongqimiaotun. In 1938, Jiangnan village was established. In January 1949, it belonged to five districts (Jiangnan District).
In September 1958, Jiangnan village was incorporated into Heishi commune.
In 1961, Heishi commune established Jiangnan commune.
In December 1983, Jiangnan commune was transformed into Jiangnan township.
In 1984, Jiangnan township was changed into Songshan township.
In September 1992, it was changed from Songshan township to Songshan town.

Songshan town is located in mountainous and semi mountainous areas. The terrain is high in the southeast and West, low in the middle and North. The highest point is located in dongdadingzi mountain at the junction of Panshi and Huadian, with an altitude of 841.6 meters; the lowest point is located in dengchangtun, xingruan, with an altitude of 370 meters.

Songshan town belongs to Huifa River system. In the west of the town, there are three tributaries, which flow into baomachuan River and into Huifa River in Heishi; in the East, there are five tributaries: Dongbeicha River, daseli River, Hongqi River and Qianjin River, which finally flow into Suli river. The total length of the river in Songshan town is 120 km.
