Xinli Town

Xinli Town, subordinate to Yushu City, Changchun City, Jilin Province, is located in the southeast of Yushu City, bordering Tuqiao town in the East, Heilin town in the south, Baoshou town in the West and Chengfa Township in the north. It is 25 kilometers away from Yushu City, with an area of 216.06 square kilometers.

In the early years of Qianlong reign of Qing Dynasty, Xinlitun was named as Xinlitun. In November 1984, Xinlitun was replaced by Xinlitun. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Xinli Town was 51064. As of June 2020, Xinli Town has one community and 17 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Daxin village.

History of construction

Xinli Town is named because the town government is located in Xinlitun.

In the early years of Qianlong in Qing Dynasty, it was named Xinlitun.

During the period of the enemy occupation in Northeast China, xinlibao was set up, belonging to the Ninth District of Yushu county (Tuqiaozi District). In January 1946, it was renamed the new seventh district.

In September 1950, it was renamed District 6.

In January 1956, the Sixth District was renamed Xinli district.

In August 1958, the new district was transformed into a new commune.

In March 1983, Xinli commune was changed into Xinli township.

In November 1984, Xinli township was replaced by Xinli Town.

In 2001, Qingding township was merged into Xinli Town.
