Xinhua Town, belonging to Liangzhou District, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, is located in the south of Liangzhou District, 12 kilometers away from Liangzhou city in the north, Gaoba town in the East, ancient town in the south, Qilian Township in Tianzhu County in the West and Jinta Township in the north. The maximum distance between the East and the west is 18.9 kilometers, the maximum distance between the north and the south is 14.6 kilometers, and the total administrative area is 129.74 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Xinhua Town was 10813.
From the Western Han Dynasty to the "five Liang" period of the Sixteen States, Xinhua Town belonged to guzang County, Wuwei County. In October 1958, Xinhua, Nanying and Jianshe Township merged to form Xinhua commune. In March 2018, the township was withdrawn and Xinhua Town was established. As of June 2020, Xinhua Town has jurisdiction over 12 administrative villages. The town people's government is stationed in toubazhai village.

History of construction
From the Western Han Dynasty to the "five Liang" period of the Sixteen States, Xinhua Town belonged to guzang County, Wuwei County.
From the Northern Wei Dynasty to the early Sui Dynasty, it belonged to Linzhong County of Wuwei County.
During the Tang and Song Dynasties, it was divided into guzang county and Shenniao county.
Yuan, Yongchang Road is West Liangzhou.
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, they successively returned to Liangwei county and Wuwei County.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to Wuwei County and Jinta township.
After September 1949, it belonged to Jinta and Daliu districts.
In July 1952, it belongs to the 18th district (Nanying).
In January 1956, it was named Xinhua township.
In October 1958, Xinhua, Nanying and Jianshe Township merged to form Xinhua commune.
In 1962, it was divided into Xinhua, Nanying and Jianshe commune.
In July 1983, it belonged to Xinhua Township and Nanying Township respectively.
In July 2004, Nanying township was merged into Xinhua township.
