Riverside town

Riverside town, subordinate to Bishan District of Chongqing, is located in the western suburb of Bishan District, adjacent to Bicheng street in the East, Bicheng street in the southeast, Bicheng street in the south, Fulu town in the southwest, Hufeng town in Tongliang District in the west, Dalu street in the West and North. It is 10km away from Bishan people's government, with a total area of 52.5km.

In 1759, Hebian town was located in the Qijia village of Fuli, Bishan; in January 1994, Hebian town was merged with Shigang, Geshu, Liangshuijing and liujiao villages in longmenxi, Chengbei and Lailong. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in riverside town was 25378. As of June 2020, riverside town has one community and six administrative villages, and the town people's government is located at No. 10 Hefu Road, Wenchang community.

In 2018, there were 57 industrial enterprises in riverside town, including 5 above scale and 18 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In the 24th year of Qianlong (1759) of Qing Dynasty, riverside town belonged to the Qijia of Fuli in Bishan.

In August 1930, Riverside township was established, belonging to the ninth district.

After December 1, 1949, it belongs to the first district.

In March 1953, Riverside township was divided into Riverside Township, Heba Township and Fuxing township.

In January 1956, Heba Township and Fuxing Township were merged into Riverside township.

In September 1958, Riverside township was transformed into Riverside commune.

On September 12, 1985, Riverside commune was changed into Riverside township.

In January 1994, Hebian Township, Shigang and Geshu villages in longmenxi Township, Liangshuijing village in Chengbei Township and liujiao village in Lailong Township were merged into Hebian town.
