Longfeng Town, belonging to Hechuan District of Chongqing, is located in the northwest of Hechuan District, bordering YANWO town and Sanmiao town in the East, Longxing town in the south, Longxing town in Tongnan District in the West and Erlang town in the north. It is 52 kilometers away from the people's Government of Hechuan District, with a total area of 66.12 square kilometers.
In Sui and Tang Dynasties, Longfeng town was located in Chishui County, Hezhou; in December 1993, Longfeng town was built from Longfeng township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Longfeng town was 30706. As of June 2020, Longfeng town has one community and 12 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and its people's government is located at 68 Julong street.
In 2018, there were 20 industrial enterprises in Longfeng Town, including 2 above scale enterprises and 14 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In Sui and Tang Dynasties, it belonged to Chishui County of Hezhou.
Yuan to Yuan 24 years (1287), belongs to Shizhao county.
In 1728, the dragon and Phoenix farm was built in laisuli, Hezhou; in 1906, it was located in longduo township.
In 1926, Longfeng township was established. In 1931, Longfeng town was established as the seventh district of Hechuan. In 1939, Longfeng and Wanshou townships merged to build Wanlong town. In 1941, Wanlong town was changed into Wanshou town. In 1942, Longfeng township was established from Wanshou township.
In December 1949, Longfeng township was assigned to the eighth District of Hechuan county.
In April 1952, part of the three temples, Longfeng and Wangu townships in Longfeng Township established Fenghuang township.
In February 1956, it belongs to Xinglong district.
In September 1958, Longfeng commune was rebuilt and Xinglong district was renamed as WANGU district.
In January 1968, it was renamed Xianfeng commune.
In September 1972, the original name of Longfeng commune was restored.
In December 1983, Longfeng commune was changed into Longfeng township.
In December 1993, Longfeng township was removed and Longfeng town was built.
