History of construction
Yuan, Ming Dynasty, Longquan for the Chief Secretary of the office, Li Shiqian.
In the 29th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1601), the Chief Secretary of Longquan was removed and Longquan county was established. The county seat is now Longquan street.
In 1916, Fenggang county was divided into 11 administrative districts and towns. In 1931, Fenggang county had eight districts, and the town was the first district. In 1935, eight districts were merged into four, and the town was still the first district.
On December 1, 1949, Fenggang county was established, with three districts and 17 townships (towns), and one district is located in Longquan town.
In April 1950, three districts were divided into six districts; in July of the same year, it was expanded into eight districts, and Longquan town was still a district.
In April 1957, Longquan town was upgraded to a district level town.
In December 1958, Fenggang county was merged into Meitan County, and the district level organizational system of Longquan town was abolished. Longquan management area belongs to Fenggang commune.
In August 1961, Fenggang county system was restored and Longquan commune (township level) was set up.
In 1967, Longquan commune was established as a township town under the jurisdiction of Longtan District.
From 1978 to 1983, Longquan town was directly under the county government.
In July 1984, Longquan town was upgraded to a district level town.
On July 14, 2015, the people's Government of Guizhou Province approved to cancel the establishment of Longquan street in Longquan town.
