Pingquan town
Pingquan Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Zhenyuan County, Qingyang City, Gansu Province, is located in the southwest of Zhenyuan County, adjacent to Nanchuan Township and dangyuan township of Jingchuan County in the East, Zhongyuan Township in the south, Xincheng town in the west, Chengguan town and Guoyuan Township in the north, with a total administrative area of 212.53 square kilometers.
In 1949, it was Pingquan district; in July 1985, Pingquan township was removed from the township to build a town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Pingquan town was 45333. In June 2020, Pingquan town governs one community and 16 administrative villages.
In 2018, the gross national product of Pingquan town reached 900 million yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 7.8%; the gross agricultural product exceeded 291 million yuan, the fixed assets storage was 304 million yuan, the free fund was 980000 yuan, the non tax income (farmland occupation tax) was 422400 yuan, the total grain production was 32000 tons, the average grain production was 453 kg, the per capita net income of farmers reached 8976 yuan, with an increase of 10.4%, and the per capita income increased by 838 yuan.
History of construction
In 1949, it was Pingquan district.
In March 1950, it was incorporated into the new urban area.
In 1953, Pingquan district was restored.
In 1956, it was changed into base point township.
In October 1958, it was changed into a commune.
In June 1961, Honghe commune was established.
In March 1965, Honghe commune was merged into Pingquan commune.
In March 1979, Qiuchi commune was established.
In December 1983, the commune was transformed into a township.
In July 1985, the township was removed to build a town.
In December 2004, Qiuchi township was incorporated into the city.
