Gujiao town

Gujiao town is located 10 kilometers west of Xinjiang county, adjacent to Longxing town in the East, Jishan County in the west, Fenhe River in the South and Quanzhang and Sanquan towns in the north. It covers a total area of 57.6 square kilometers, with 46297 mu of arable land. In 2007, it produced 9666 tons of wheat and 1403 tons of autumn grain. It has jurisdiction over 22 administrative villages with 37298 people. Gujiao town is a traditional agricultural town.

In March 1956, Gujiao township was established, and the township government was stationed in Gujiao village. In 1962, it was set up separately with Houma, and then it was called Gujiao people's commune management committee. In September 1984, it was renamed Gujiao township. In March 2001, it was called Gujiao town after the institutional reform.
