Dawang town
Dawang Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Guangrao County, Dongying City, Shandong Province, is located in the southeast of Guangrao County, bordering Taitou town and Hualong Town of Shouguang City in the East, heguan town and Gaoliu town of Qingzhou City in the South and Huangcheng town of Linzi District of Zibo City in the south, Lijie town and Guangrao street across Zihe River in the west, and daozhuang town in the north, with a total administrative area of 118.3 square kilometers.
In December 1948, the Democratic township was established, and Dawang township was under the jurisdiction of Dawang township; in October 1949, it was renamed Liuji district; in July 1984, the commune was withdrawn and Dawang town was established. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of the town was 88098. As of June 2020, Dawang town has 97 administrative villages.
In 2011, the financial revenue of Dawang town was 435 million yuan, an increase of 30% over the previous year. In 2018, there were 389 industrial enterprises in Dawang Town, of which 88 were large-scale and 84 were comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was located in Leyi Township, Le'an county.
In 1914, it was Xiaoqu District of Guangrao County.
In 1929, it was the Second District of Guangrao County.
In October 1939, it belonged to Yi, Shou, Lin and Guang counties.
In April 1940, Guangrao District II was restored.
In February 1942, it was restored to Siyu county.
In August 1945, it was the Second District of Guangrao County.
In December 1948, the Democratic township was established, and Dawang township was under the jurisdiction of the district.
In October 1949, it was renamed Liuji district.
In September 1951, it was renamed Guangrao District 2.
In October 1955, it was renamed Liuji district.
In May 1958, the district was removed and the township was merged, and Dawang township was under the jurisdiction of the county; in September of the same year, it was the fourth commune of Dongfeng commune; in October of the same year, it was renamed Dawang commune after its residence.
In July 1984, the commune was withdrawn and Dawang town was established.
