Taiping Town

Taiping Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Yangshan County, Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province, is located in the south of Yangshan County, 28 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Qigong town and Qingxin County in the East, Yangmei town in the south, HUAIJI County and Liannan County in the west, and Qigong town in the north. The administrative area is 259.97 square kilometers. In 2018, 44506 people registered residence in Taiping town. In 2020, Taiping Town governs 12 administrative villages.

In August 1955, the eighth district government set up another Taiping District. On December 30, 1957, Taiping Township was established. In 1958, Taiping People's commune was established. In November 1983, Taiping District was established. In November 1986, Taiping town was established.

In 2018, there was one industrial enterprise in Taiping Town, including one industrial enterprise above Designated Size and four comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution
