Su Cheng Township

Sucheng township is located 20 kilometers east of Zuoquan county. Taixing highway and yangshe railway cross the East and West, and the West source of Qingzhang river flows through the whole area. The township has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages with a permanent population of 6709 (in 2017), with a total area of 162.5 square kilometers. The main crops are corn, millet, beans, rice and potato, and the territory is rich in iron ore resources. In 2003, the total economic income of the township reached 57 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 1850 yuan.

In 2003, a 100 mu famous, special and excellent science and technology demonstration park was established in suding village. In the aspect of animal husbandry, it has changed from free grazing to regional breeding, from breeding big goats to improved cashmere goats, Boer goats and Small Tail Han goats, and from traditional grazing to captive breeding, which has promoted the healthy development of the breeding industry in the whole township. In the private economy, a pattern of common development of building materials, breeding, service, transportation and other industries has been formed. The township has set up more than 30 private enterprises with more than 2000 employees.
