Benbutu Town, belonging to Bohu County, Bayinguoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the northeast of Bohu county. It is connected with bostenghu Township in the East and south, 25 regiment of the second agricultural division and wulanzegesen Township in the south, Yanqi county and Bazhou breeding stock farm in the west, and tawenjueken Township in the north. It is 6.5km away from Bohu County, with a total area of 116.99km2.

In 1950, Benbutu town was under the jurisdiction of three districts of Heshuo County; in April 2002, Benbutu township was changed from township to town.
