Larenguan Township

Larenguan Township, subordinate to Luqu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is located in the southeast of Luqu County, adjacent to Ruoergai County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province in the East, Gahai Township in the south, Luqu County in the West and Xicang Township in the north. The area is 720.6 square kilometers. In 2018, 3025 people registered residence.

In 1956, it was under the jurisdiction of Xicang district. Guangming commune was established in 1958, and it belonged to Hongqi commune at the end of the year. In 1961, larenguan township was established. In 1966, Gaxiu commune was put under Gahai Township and later renamed Hongwei township. In 1968, the original name was restored and the Revolutionary Committee of larenguan township was established. At the beginning of 1984, it was changed to township. In June 2020, larenguan Township governs three administrative villages.

At the end of 2011, larenguan Township produced 35.8 tons of grain and 1145 tons of meat, including 532 tons of beef, 613 tons of mutton, 2704 tons of fresh milk, the total output value of animal husbandry was 31.43 million yuan, accounting for 97.6% of the total agricultural output value, and the per capita net income of farmers and herdsmen was 3726 yuan.
