Muxihe Township
Muxihe Township, belonging to Maqu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is located in the southwest of Maqu County, bordering on awankang Township in the East, mentang Township in Jiuzhi County, Guoluo Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province in the South and West, and Oula and Oula xiuma Township in the north. The area is 1561.62 square kilometers. In 2018, 4126 people registered residence.
Before 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of Labrang monastery. In 1958, when it was founded, it was the second brigade of awankang commune. In 1960, it was renamed qunqiang commune. In 1962, it was renamed qunqiang township; at the end of 1968, the commune was restored; at the end of 1982, muxihe township was established. In June 2020, muxihe township has jurisdiction over two administrative villages.
In 2018, there was one industrial enterprise in muxihe township.

Muxihe township is located in the southern foot of Animaqing mountain (Jishishan), the upper part of the first curve of the Yellow River, with high terrain in the West and low terrain in the East. The average altitude of the territory is above 3800 meters, with the highest peak of Qiulong mountain, 4789 meters above sea level; the lowest point is located in the Yellow River Valley, 3750 meters above sea level.
