Qimatan town
Qimatan town belongs to Jishishan Baoan Dongxiang Sala Autonomous County, Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province. It is located in the middle of Jishishan Baoan Dongxiang Sala Autonomous County, adjacent to Guanjiachuan Township and Hulin Township in the East, zhaizigou Township in the south, Daowei township of Xunhua Sala Autonomous County in Qinghai Province in the west, Jishi mountains in the north and Liugou Township in the north. The area is 36.54 square kilometers. In 2018, 32025 people registered residence.
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Xixiang 22nd society. From 1949 to 1958, it was under the jurisdiction of Linxia county and eight districts. In November 1961, the organizational system of Linxia county was restored, and the county land was still owned by Linxia county. On June 14, 1980, the State Council approved the establishment of Jishishan Bao'an, Dongxiang and Salar Autonomous County, which governs 16 communes, including chuimatan. In 1983, it was changed from chuimatan township to chuimatan town. In June 2020, the town will have 4 communities and 7 administrative villages.
In 2018, there are 8 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in the town.
Historical evolution
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Xixiang 22nd society.
From 1949 to 1958, it was under the jurisdiction of Linxia county and eight districts.
In November 1961, the organizational system of Linxia county was restored, and the county land was still owned by Linxia county.
On June 14, 1980, the State Council approved the establishment of Jishishan Bao'an, Dongxiang and Salar Autonomous County, which governs 16 communes, including chuimatan.
In 1983, it was changed from chuimatan township to chuimatan town.

By the end of 2011, qimatan town had jurisdiction over three residents' committees, namely Binhe, Guangchang and Tuanjie, seven villagers' committees, namely Fangjia, Linping, Qianzhuang, Hougou, Zhongzhuang, Qianling and houyangwa, and 71 villagers' groups.
In June 2020, the town has four communities: Binhe community, square community, united community and harmonious community, seven administrative villages: Linping village, Fangjia village, Qianzhuang village, Hougou village, shijiafen village, Qianling village and houyangwa village, and the town people's government is stationed in Linping village.
