Liujiaxia Town, belonging to Yongjing County, Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is located in the middle of Yongjing County, adjacent to santiaoxian Township in the East, Xianyuan town in the south, Dongxiang Autonomous County across the Yellow River, Taiji town in the west, and Yanguoxia town and chenjing town in the north. The area is 58.6 square kilometers. In 2018, 46894 people registered residence.

In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the 11th society of BEIXIANG. From 1929 to 1949, it belonged to Haoyi Township and was one of the ancient ferry ports. In December 1949, it belongs to Dachuan district. In July 1950, it belongs to the fourth district. In 1955, it belonged to Weichuan township. In 1958, it belonged to Liujiaxia commune. In 1962, the county was located in Xiaochuan, Liujiaxia. In 1979, Liujiaxia town was established. In 1999, Luochuan and Liujiaxia villages in Liujiaxia Township and Hongliu village in santiaoxian Township were under the jurisdiction of Liujiaxia town. In October 2019, Liujiaxia town governs 9 communities and 5 administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 64 industrial enterprises in Liujiaxia Town, and 162 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Liujiaxia town is located in the middle of Yongjing County, adjacent to santiaoxian town in the East, Xianyuan town in the south, Dongxiang Autonomous County across the Yellow River, Taiji town in the west, Wusu mountain in the north, Yanguoxia town and chenjing town. Liujiaxia town is located in the transition zone between the Qinghai Tibet Plateau and the Loess Plateau. The terrain can be divided into three types: Valley terrace, loess hill and rocky mountain.
