History of construction
From the Western Han Dynasty to the Wuliang period of the Sixteen States, Wunan town belonged to guzang county and Luanyao County of Wuwei County.
From the Northern Wei Dynasty to the early Sui Dynasty, it belonged to Linzhong County of Wuwei County.
During the Tang and Song Dynasties, it returned to guzang county.
