Jihe town
Jihe town belongs to Hanbin District, Ankang City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the southwest hinterland of Hanbin District, it borders Xincheng street in the East, Yinghu town in the south, Tianba town and Yanba town in the west, and Jianmin street across the river in the north. The total area is 120.7 square kilometers.

Historical evolution
Jiyi, the governor of Weixing County in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, built a city on the southwest side of this river into the mouth of Han River. It was named Jiyi city. The river got Jihe River, and the town got its name because of the flow of Jihe river.
During the reign of emperor Shunzhi of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1661), it was called Xujiaba and changed to jiheba in the late Qing Dynasty.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it became jiheba Township, and later changed to Tianba township.
In 1949, it was the first administrative district.
In 1951, it was changed into the third district.
In 1953, it was changed into Jihe district.
In 1958, it was called Jihe commune.
In 1984, it was changed to Jihe township.
In December 1996, Jihe Township, Qingping Township and Kuangkuang Township were merged into Jihe town.
