In the seventh year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1802), the hillslopes of Ba and BEIXIANG in Ligu County, Dingyuan County, Yuanting county were set.
In 1914, there were ba village and shanshapo village in Gu County, North District.
In 1936, there were joint urban protection and joint mountain slope protection.

In December 2001, Gaoqiao township was abolished and merged into Jingyang town.
In July 2011, chenjiatan township was withdrawn and merged into Jingyang town.
On June 28, 2015, Shaanxi Province adjusted the township administrative division, abolished Jingyang town and established Jingyang street.
