Baimianxia town belongs to Xixiang County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the east of Xixiang County, adjacent to Yankou town in the west, Cha town in the East, Ping'an town in Ba County in the south, Hanjiang River in the north and Ziwu town across the river. The maximum distance from east to west is 14.9 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 13.5 km, with a total area of 199.02 square kilometers.

Historical evolution

Built in the Tang Dynasty, the market town is one of the important post stations along the litchi ancient road, where merchants gathered, rich and gentry prayed for wealth, and 108 temples were built. It is known as "Baimiao gorge". Later it evolved into Baimian gorge, and now it is Baimian gorge.

In 1950, baimianxia township was established.

In 1962, it was renamed baimianxia management area.

In 1965, the commune was established.

In 1984, the township was changed to be subordinate to chazhen district.

In 1996, after the district was withdrawn and the township was merged, it was an independent branch level township.

In July 2011, the township was withdrawn to build a town, and the former majiawan Township and baimianxia Township were merged into baimianxia town.
